We are former Canadian immigration officers. We have lots of experience. We help our clients succeed with their immigration goals.
Timothy Morson is a former Canadian diplomat specialized in immigration. He served as a visa officer and immigration program manager with assignments in Asia, Europe, the United States, the Caribbean and Africa. He worked for Global Affairs Canada and for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada providing operational and policy guidance to senior government officials and ministers. He also managed the cross-border movement of thousands of foreign workers for companies like Cirque du Soleil. Now a Montreal-based, independent immigration and human resources expert accredited by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), Immigration Quebec, and the Ordre des Conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA), he helps people and organizations from around the world achieve their immigration goals.
As a Canadian diplomat, I served in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean where I managed visa programs and oversaw tens of thousands of case decisions. I also served in Ottawa in various operational and policy roles with the Department of Global Affairs and the Department of Immigration, including as a senior advisor to the Minister of Immigration. My government experience has given me exceptional insight into the decision-making mechanisms of the immigration bureaucracy.
In the private sector, I served in immigration management roles with Cirque du Soleil, the world’s biggest live-entertainment company, and Technicolor Canada, Inc., the world’s leading visual effects company for the film and TV industry. My mandates in these large companies involved developing and deploying immigration case management systems, compliance and risk-management protocols, and designing cost-effective and efficient work processes to ensure smooth international border crossing experiences and work permit issuance for thousands of employees every year.
We have only one goal: to serve you well. An honest and successful immigration outcome is only possible where there is a relationship of trust. We build trust by being open and transparent about all aspects of the immigration process. Our business is small and personal. That allows us to be close to you, to help you understand and manage the opportunities and risks attached to your dreams of living, working or studying in Canada.
Immigration is all about people. But the government’s immigration process is necessarily impersonal given the complex nature of the bureaucracy and the millions of cases screened by officials every year. Immigration decisions are made in high-pressure environments based on data and documents that may be misconstrued or simply overlooked. Badly prepared applications or basic misunderstandings about immigration program requirements inevitably lead to costly and sometimes irreversible outcomes. By carefully preparing and reviewing every application with these risks in mind, and by accompanying you throughout the process, the immigration experience is better and less stressful.
By drawing on a wealth of knowledge and experience from my many years of government and private sector service in immigration, you stand to gain certainty of the process . We understand the risks and pitfalls of immigration, and design personal strategies tailored to your specific needs. Large firms can never provide this level of attention because they are oriented towards volume, not quality.
